I live in Portland, Oregon with my longtime partner Daniel, my mom, and my stepdad. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, exploring Portland’s neighborhoods, and getting out into Oregon and Washington’s charming towns and natural spaces. I love to travel, locally and internationally.
I find a lot of joy in my life. I keep my equilibrium through daily meditation and yoga practices. Walking our family dog to our nearby park and standing under the Douglas firs and larch trees reboots my mindset to take on whatever challenges the day brings. I’m an avid reader, and my favorite genres are narrative nonfiction, and science and nature writing.
